Jiný Metro is the singer/songwriter duo of best friends Katie Alžběta Brown and Klára
Čmejrková. Their music is playful yet sentimental, showing a new fresh side of the Prague folk scene. The recently released
EP “Tossing and Turning (2024)” showcases their intimate and richly arranged and creatively produced songs, including stacked vocal and flute harmonies, catchy clarinet melodies, a string quartet, the autoharp, and board games used as percussion.

Jiný metro performs with a
five-member band to fit the rich instrumental arrangements into their live, soulful and authentic performances. The duo has performed on many stages around Europe and in
the Czech Republic, hosting international bands in their home venues, writing new music
together and posting regularly on their instagram account. They’ve played major Czech festivals like Metronome,
Rock For People, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Waves Vienna and held a successful German and Polish tour in the fall of 2024.
